#10 Wikis

I found this idea fascinating. I did not really know what a Wiki was, or what it could be used for. I think I could easily get hooked on this!! I absolutely loved the Book Lovers site. What a great resource for readers to find new books! The nice thing about this site is that the reviews were short and could be read quickly.
I also loved the Library Bloggers site. I could spend days looking at this. It is amazing to see what the different libraries are doing. The book info on some of these sites was great!
I think Wikis could easily be used for book reviews, programming info, and staff updates. The problem with it would be keeping everything current, and adding new things. People want to see different things when they log on, and that is difficult with everyones work load.
I can understand why Wikis are banned for research purposes. You cannot be sure of the accuracy of the information, and often it is peoples opinion and not fact.
I added a book review of Patriot Hearts to the 23 things Wiki.
